This monthly Museum Insider blog aims to bridge this span, to help understand the connections to what we are viewing, to enrich the art, our experience with it, and our lives. – Donna Rocco
If you are in New York City, make time to visit The Metropolitan Museum to see one of its most magnificent exhibits – China Through the Looking Glass. This spectacular show explores China’s influence on Western fashion, movies, art and paintings.
The exhibit is expansive and covers three large galleries including Chinese Galleries (206–218), Egyptian Galleries (132), and the Anna Wintour Costume Center (980–981). While walking through the floors of opulent fashions (over 140 pieces) you will be amazed with the music and movies incorporated into the exhibit. China Through the Looking Glass ends on August 16th.
Donna Rocco has loved photography from the moment she held the first camera in her hand and felt the connection between herself and the visual world. She has worked as a photographer for over two decades in areas including: advertising, editorial, live action, sports, promotion and portrait. She can be contacted at email@example.com to discuss photography projects and availability.
