Summer is well underway. It is a time for enjoying vacation travel, family gatherings, weekend excursions, free events in the city, and days at the beach. It may be tempting to put your photography on the back burner, or it could be the perfect time to try something new.
What do you shoot? Flowers? Landscapes? Portraits? Travel? Why not try something different. Shooting new subjects, different perspectives, or for a different purpose may reawaken your photographic awareness and have you rethinking exposure, lighting, lens choice, perspective, and view point.
Here are a few suggestions: Table top/product photography, storytelling, strangers, silhouettes, action or sports. There is nothing like the challenge of capturing a never-before-shot subject, to spark renewed inspiration.
If you are not up for trying new subjects or shooting styles, perhaps you could try a new workflow, processing style, or finishing technique.
This challenge is to try something different, learn something new, refresh a love for something almost forgotten, attempt a challenging shot, and fall in love with photography all over again.
