Using Kickstarter to Capture the City and Its Ways
Kickstarter is a great fundraising tool, but like the last hand of a high-stakes poker game, it’s all or nothing. If you don’t reach your stated goal, you walk away empty handed. The pressure is huge, the figures daunting. 60% of all campaigns not only don’t raise their intended amount, but get little or no money at all. To be successful, campaigns and the personalities behind them have to stand out. Getting to Know PWP Member Dianne Yudelson
Dianne Yudelson, a PWP member, came to my attention through a variety of Call for Entries that I’ve entered. When looking at the winners it seems like I always see her name. I began looking at her work more closely and the more I looked, the more questions I had. I emailed her to see if she would be interested in an interview and I found her views, and life path refreshing and inspirational. Dianne started her creative road very early in life. Right out of high school she studied musical theater performance. From the PWP Instagram Feed: This Monday!!! “Whims of Weather”
This Monday!!! PWP’s “Whims of Weather” opening reception is this Monday, May 18th, from 6pm – 8pm at the beautiful and historic National Arts Club located at 15 Gramercy Park South, NYC (and pictured here). Juried by Dr. Stanley Burns, Chairperson of the Photography Committee of the National Arts Club, the show will feature member work that demonstrates the action or aftermath of weather. Exhibition books ($68) and posters ($15) of the show will be available for purchase (cash and checks). Come with family and friends to the opening on Monday, and also during the rest of the show through May 31st. See you at the National Arts Club!!
