Professional WomenPhotographers is delighted to announce Gail Albert Halaban as its 2013-2014 lecture series opener at the Metropolitan Opera Guild.

Halaban is that rare photographer who photographs urban people, family life styles and personal artistic projects. She’s had five solo shows in major New York galleries and also established a thriving career in advertising though photographing what she loves.

From her series of finding houses that Hopper painted and photographing them with their current residents (shown recently at the Houk gallery), to her personal project of people seen through their city windows, to exploring the ongoing dynamics of friends with young families, Gail has established herself as both a fine arts photographer with a successful advertising career for major companies.

Her work is as fresh and natural as she is. It is a pleasure to have her opening this season of PWP lecture/meetings.

The Curtain Raiser will be Antonella Renzi, a PWP member from Italy.

The lecture is free for PWP members, $10 for non-members (pay at the door). It is open to the public, and guests are welcome. It will take place on Wednesday, September 11th at 6:30 pm, at the Metropolitan Opera Guild. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for new members, members and guests to meet PWP board members and get acquainted before the lecture.
