ginny mangrum is a fine art photographer and digital artist located in The Bronx, NY.  She is a San Francisco Bay Area native who studied Fine Art Studio/Photography and earned her Degrees; BFA, California College of the Arts, and MFA, Mills College, and Pienza, Italy. She is an exhibiting artist. Her work grounded in the concept of "Presence of Absence" which evolved into sub concepts examining the psychological effects of public and private spaces void of activities, people and objects.  The art making process involves choices appropriate to the concept; oversized prints and small black and whites as well  using highly saturated images  to express stress, calm or tension.  inny's top photographic influencers  have been Todd Hido and Edward Hopper, painter. Two conceptual art thinkers, who contribute to her commitment "the" concept have been Catherine Wagner and Larry Sultan.
