closeI cherish the visual surprises, mysteries, puzzles photography manages to catch and hold for us. Time runs on relentlessly but we humans try to defy the inevitable end of our personal time by using anything at our disposal. The camera is one of those tools that plays with time. It grabs it and freezes it and then makes it visible, touchable as if forever - creating another reality. The common becomes unusual, the obvious becomes mysterious, the redundant becomes unique - such is the power of photography. I use the tool with gratitude for those who had invented it, and am joyful about the discoveries that come to us through it.
