I studied fine art in the 1960's and filmmaking and photography in the 1970's. Entering the world of digital manipulation in 1994, I found the perfect way to combine my interests in film and painting. Working with pixels not only increases saturation and can change the hue, but it can transform the image to create a more painterly look. Rather than fighting the pixels, the special qualities inherent in pixels are used to full advantage to create my digital photopaintings.
