Member Profile: Mariette Pathy Allen

closeI have had a great variety of experience over the years, ranging from covering events at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, Democratic politics, births, making portraits of a wide range of people, including many people of transgender experience. I have traveled a great deal, photographing wherever I go, mostly people in their environments, sometimes just what I find fascinating in that environment. I have made many slide show presentations for photography departments at schools, sexologists and other physicians, and transgender conventions. My photographs have been exhibited internationally, included in books and magazines, and I am the author/photographer of three published books.
