Helen Bohmart Pine is an eclectic photographer who has aimed her camera lens at a wide variety of subjects during the more than twenty years she has been taking photographs. Her love of photography and her love of travel have taken her to many beautiful and exciting locations throughout the US, Canada, the Carribean and Central America, Europe, Asia and Africa. From landscapes and nature closeups to urban scenes and abstracts, from wild animals to human portraits, her portfolio includes them all. She has presented her work at the New York City Audubon Society, the Sierra Club Photo Committee, the Tuesday Evening Hour, Village Care and Park West Camera Club. She has participated in group shows at the Atlantic Gallery, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Chelsea Market, the Cork Gallery at Lincoln Center, Chrystie Street Gallery, Durst Organization, Focal Point Gallery on City Island, Lever House, Manhattan Borough President’s Office, St. Vincent’s Hospital, the West Side YMCA and Weill-Cornell Medical Library. Her work hangs in many private collections. Ongoing themes include flora and fauna, landscapes, fireworks, amusement parks,, automobile abstractions, cemeteries and reflections.
