Fran Forman has had a career in illustration & design and as a senior designer for AOL Time Warner produced photo illustrations for editorial content, while continuing to create her personal work, which combines photography and illustration with a passion for surrealism. paradox, illustration, assemblage & the dislocation of time and space. Her 'photo paintings' are in such divergent collections as the Smithsonian, The National Air & Space Museum & and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. She will be showing her book, Escape Artist :The Art of Fran Forman which was selected by Elizabeth Avedon as one of the best photobooks of 2014.
