At the same time\, I started my career in publishing\, and my image making became paired with my apprenticeship in the interplay of book design\, content and visuals. \nThrough a 25-year\, publishing career in Japan\, Hong Kong and New York\, I have brought a multidisciplinary\, 360-degree perspective to my interaction with the visual world. I created fine art photography throughout\, participating in group exhibits wherever I lived\, and with individual works published in books and magazines. I’ve also had a short film shortlisted at a Canadian International Women’s Film and Video Festival. \nIn my volunteer life\, I serve as a Board Member of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation\, and a Director of the American Friends of the National Gallery of Canada Foundation.
