You can create powerful images with light as your primary subject. David illustrates how light can be used and manipulated to create a desired look and feel. You will gain a better understanding of the aspect of light, how to capture it at different times of day, its quality and direction, creating shapes in your images. You learn specific compositional techniques that help add impact to your images.

Although this is primarily the use of natural light, he will talk how to accentuate a scene with flash.

The first session (April 12) will be a lecture with images. Part two (April 19), students show work (an assignment will be given).
