The Power of Tones

Professional Women Photographers and the Jadite Galleries present The Power of Tones, a celebration of monotone photography.

Professional Women Photographers The Power of Tones

This exhibition explores a host of tonal ranges emulating the sepias, cyanotypes, uranotypes of years past, in addition to the more traditional black and white. The exhibition highlights the work of 83 photographers, from seventeen states and six countries.

“PWP’s Exhibition Committee has wanted to do a show on black and white photography for a long time, but we noticed that some of our members were experimenting by printing in sepia and infrared. It inspired us think about all tones of photography.” Lita Riddock, Director of Exhibitions.

PWP’s end-of-year show has become a member favorite. It’s an “all inclusive” show, so each member is guaranteed at least one image in the exhibition. This is a great opportunity for new members to add a show in a New York City gallery to their artist resume. Going through the process of selecting and editing their photos then pricing and preparing them for gallery presentation is a great exercise for any photographer.

The Power of Tones promises to be a fascinating show and offers the chance to find the perfect holiday present for the photography and art enthusiast in your life!
