I am a photographer originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina but currently I am living in Brooklyn, NY. I have always been incredibly interested in photography. I decided to buy a film camera when I was in my late twenties and starting taking photos. I was working as a make up artist at that time, so photography was more of a hobby, but eventually it became my preferred medium of expression. With an image I can communicate what I want to express better than with words. The camera is an extension of what goes on inside me. My work is personal, intimate and analytical. My goal is to create artwork with many layers, both in context but also in terms of light, composition and color, that evoke a mood or feeling. I work with available light; I find that we often overlook the beauty and simplicity of it. I am moved by what we are capable of feeling when we look at light and therefore using it in a photograph, the possibilities of what we can communicate with it are endless. I studied with Adriana Lestido in Buenos Aires, a great photographer that I deeply admire for her commitment to her work. In New York I attended the International Center of Photography and the School of Visual Arts.
