close Since 1996 I have created 6 series of Seascapes photographed during all seasons and all times of day. My images intentionally take on a “painterly” look, and I created my Cloud Studies series to incorporate that same aesthetic. All images share a minimalist aesthetic, exploring the most basic elements of composition, contrasting light, texture, and form. The intention is to explore the ever-changing beauty of the sea and sky at each fleeting moment. All series reflect the central theme of changing light and shifting tides, and invite viewers to connect to their own memories of the universal, timeless quality of the experience at the edge of the sea.
