My mission as a photographer is to capture my environment – changes, different aspects of life in New York City and other places I travel to that intrigue me. For over 20 years my particular focus has been to document the various ways in which citizens, especially women and minorities, have been responding to political policies espoused and enacted by the government ; the outpouring of support for basic human rights, minority rights and equal rights for women; and in general, witnessing our citizen’s responses and resistance to the policies and attitudes of the political party now in power – in protests, rallies and other forms of public expression.
