Sarina Finkelstein is a documentary-style street and portrait photographer whose work for the past 5 years has focused on the subject of street art, artists, and performance in New York City with the understanding of what makes the city conducive to these means of artistic expression. She received her BFA in Photography and Art History from Washington University in Saint Louis and her MFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. Her MFA thesis consisted of her in-depth interviews and photos of Central Park performers, both in the park and at home. Sarina joined Time Out NY in 2004 as a staff photographer for Time Out NY’s weekly magazine and as their Photo Editor for Time Out NY Kids & Guides.
