2010 Student Awards Application Form

Professional Women Photographers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has been supporting the work of women photographers for over thirty years, providing educational forums to encourage artistic growth and to stimulate public interest in the art of photography. It is pleased to announce its third year of awards for those in their early photographic endeavors. These awards are for young women enrolled in public, private, or parochial high school, IN THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA with an enthusiasm for photography. There are two categories for submission, 9th and 10th grade and 11th and 12th grade.

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE IN BLACK AND WHITE, HOWEVER, any photo-based technique, conventional, digital, collage, alternative processes, will be accepted, in any style of photography (documentary, fine art/conceptual, commercial, etc.) Most important in the images will be the sense of a unique vision and passion for the medium and adherence to the theme.
