2008 STUDENT AWARDS
For Young Women enrolled in a New York City High School
with an Enthusiasm for Photography
Submission in Two Categories
9th and 10th Grades
11th and 12th Grades
The Student Awards program was created in 2005 by PWP to honor and assist young women attending New York City public high schools who have displayed an interest and affinity for photography. The program will help promote the next generation of women photographers, will stimulate more young women to pursue photography and to provide these enthusiast female photographers with encouragement and support for their future photographic pursuits
Starting in its third year, 2007, PWP opened the awards to all young women attending high school. Awards are in two categories; the 9th and 10th grades and 11th and 12th grades. A total of 4 winners from each category will be awarded first, second, third prizes and one honorable mention.

All prizes will be announced and awarded at an Awards Ceremony hosted by PWP. One image from each submission will be displayed at the Awards Ceremony. The winners’ work will be displayed on the Professional Women Photographers website as well.
